How Village Fresh Marked 42 Years in Business With Orlando Magic

Our client Village Fresh used Orlando Magicians by See Magic Live to amaze guests at a celebration of 42 years in business, and we’re sharing how the night came together.

What guests saw

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, about 55 guests gathered at a private home in DeBary, just north of Orlando, to celebrate 42 years in business. From 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., John Kinney performed interactive close-up magic, moving from group to group around the property so every guest had a personal moment of magic, much of it with a deck of cards. Partway through the evening, he brought everyone together for a short group show, and with guests spread across the property, he stayed a little longer to make sure he reached every group. Before he left, he gave the hosts one last moment of magic of their own.

The day after the party, our contact texted us: “It was great, big hit.”

How we prepared

The request reached us on Sunday, October 11, six days before the party, and we confirmed John’s availability the same day.

We interview every client before we recommend a magician. For this party, we learned the guests would be about 55 adults, the occasion was a milestone for the business, and the hosts wanted a magician who performs for adult parties. Based on that, we recommended 90 minutes of strolling close-up magic with a group show finale, so guests would have personal moments throughout the evening and one shared moment together.

We recommended John because the guest of honor had seen him perform tableside at Christner’s in Orlando the week before and loved his magic. John came to magic through the theater. He holds a BFA in theatre and won a Kevin Kline Award for acting, and that stage training gives his close-up magic strong timing and presence. He has performed for Disney, Microsoft, and HBO, and private celebrations are among the events he knows best.

We brief your magician before every event. We briefed John on the occasion, the guest count, and the guest of honor so he could shape the evening around the celebration.
