Guests Stay Through the Closing Remarks
In Orlando, your evening program competes with the resort, and with every restaurant, bar, and attraction within a short drive of it. Guests decide whether to stay in the first fifteen minutes, usually while they are standing near the door with a drink in hand.
Close-up magic works those fifteen minutes. The magician reaches guests where they are standing, a few at a time, so the room fills instead of thinning out before dinner is called. After dinner, a stage show holds people through the awards and the closing remarks, which is the stretch that usually loses them.
Guests stay through the closing remarks, and they are still talking about it the next morning.
How a magician gets on the roster

Material is selected for your event instead of pulled from a fixed act, so the set fits the room you are putting it in and the occasion you are marking.
The audience is the part that takes the most homework. Before the date, the magician learns who your contact is, how the schedule runs, who is in the room, and what a successful night looks like to you. Kostya screens for people who are good to have in your event space, which matters as much as the magic.

Two formats, and when each one works
Close-Up Magic at the Reception, a Stage Show After Dinner, or Both
Close-up magic runs during a welcome reception, a cocktail hour, a hospitality suite, or a trade show booth. The magician works one group of up to ten at a time, five to ten minutes each, and moves on. There is nothing to set up and nothing to add to the schedule.
A group show needs the room together, which makes it a set piece once dinner is finished, or an awards night. It runs 15 to 60 minutes, and 45 is the most common. Audiences run from 20 to 2,000. Past about 250 we will raise IMAG with you, so the back of the room can see faces.
Plenty of Orlando events book both: close-up while guests arrive, the stage show after dinner. Our office works with your audio-visual team on staging, lights, and sound so the show runs to your schedule.

The Rule Kostya Brought Back From Spain
