Why Your Event Needs a Team of Magicians

What a Room of 1,800 Takes

Last weekend, five (!) of our See Magic Live performers brought their individual, unique styles of interactive close-up magic and mentalism to Taste! Central Florida. About 1,800 people came through the Cypress Ballroom at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Noah Fay, Sebastian Gerhardt, Bolivar Bueno, Keith Kong, and Jimmy Ichihana shared their talents and time, as our Orlando performers have at this event for more than a decade.

A team of magicians? Like a sports team? In a sense, yes. Like athletes, our performers work together, provide feedback to each other, and represent a particular level of talent.

Our team of See Magic Live performers all have to meet a certain set of standards to be considered for bookings. We don't just look for great talent, we look for a high degree of professionalism, an openness to feedback, and warmth of character.

So when we asked them to share their time at Taste!, we weren't surprised to get five yeses.

They performed throughout the evening for a handful of guests at a time. Had we just sent one performer, the room of nearly two thousand would almost entirely have missed out on the magic. By booking five performers, way more guests got to experience that feeling of awe and astonishment that's so rare in our daily lives.

Why We Can Field Five in Orlando

We can field five for an Orlando event because we've been building the roster here since 2010. See Magic Live's founder and CEO, Kostya Kimlat, has not only vetted each of these performers, but invested in their continued development and success. Most of them work our corporate calendar all year, at conferences, galas, and client dinners, and several perform representing See Magic Live at Christner's Prime Steak & Lobster, where we've had magicians in the dining room weekly since 2006.

When someone contacts us about booking a magician, one of the first things we ask for is an approximate guest count. It tells us how many performers would be best for their event, which for a crowd the size of Taste! was five.

We are so grateful to continue to partner with Taste!, which is in its 37th year. It raises money for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, which serves more than 232,000 meals a year on its downtown Orlando campus. Second Harvest supports childhood hunger programs, because one in six Central Florida kids face it.
